NDDU Earthquake Drill 2013

Last January 8, 2013, NDDU had conducted its annual Earthquake drill participated by all the students and teachers, almost. As usual, we had to execute the well practiced "Duck. Cover. And Hold." technique. What I don't get is that, they keep on saying that you have to cover your head (and neck) by your hands (and arms) to avoid falling debris from hitting the the very vital parts.

My question is, "How about my spine?"
